Tuesday’s Quotes – May 24, 2016 – Pragmatism

Sharing this one again, as I continually readjust my own sails this month. I’m still not finished with this month’s #1000Speak post due to competing priorities coupled with a bit of procrastination. The suggested topic this month is self-compassion, and my post-in-progress is off-topic, but this is, perhaps, my way of showing myself some…

“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.”

— William Arthur Ward

Being a pragmatist, but still human, I complain about the wind while adjusting the sails – and hope it doesn’t change after I’ve set them.
