Well, it’s not quite ‘officially’ winter – that comes next week, but it is cold. And snowy. And did I mention cold? I’ve even dug out my space heater to use while working from home – and no, there’s nothing wrong with our home heating – the problem is me (and I’m afraid my daughters seem to have inherited it).
I used to prefer snow on weekends – no impact to my commute that way. Now that I can telecommute whenever I need to, it matters less. And lousy weekend weather interferes with my, well, weekend. And I still prefer warmer temperatures – more and more every winter.
But enough babbling. Time to refocus my energy on the weekend ahead – things to do, places to go, and all that.
So enjoy the weekend – leisure time is too rare in these ‘always connected’ days.
“Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
