The final weekend of 2017 is finally upon us – a year that, in some respects, I’m happy to be putting behind me, but, at the same time, I am, as always, stunned at the speed with which time seems to rush by. I’ll save my annual philosophizing for my actual New Year’s post on Monday, though. Because now it’s Friday And the work day (for me) is done.
We in the northeastern US, and indeed most of the rest of the country, are dealing with cold temperatures, and threats of snow (or is some areas record-breaking snowfall), and another week or so of this unpleasant weather continuing (the southwestern US looks increasingly appealing to me). And no, cold weather does not negate climate change – extreme weather of all types is a symptom. But, regardless… Enjoy this final weekend of 2018 – whatever your position on the issues, whatever your weather, and whatever your plans.

And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.” — TS Eliot
