Another Friday come & nearly gone. It’s been the usual – read ‘busy’ – post-vacation week. With the addition of Camp NaNo to keep me busier (only committed to 20k words this month – should be a piece of cake), it’s been somewhat more challenging than most, but spouse came back home on Tuesday, so normality is slowly being restored. Next week we should be completely back to our normal routines – and to working on the house. This weekend we have a college visit with younger daughter at the school that she is most likely to attend – just to be sure. And they’ve largely taken the snow out of the forecast for tonight/tomorrow. So things are definitely looking up.

In the meantime, a few things over the past week have put the following quote into my head. The older I get, the truer it seems.

“I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.”

Khalil Gibran
