I’m having an unfocused kind of day. My mind seems particularly prone to wandering off on some tangent or another. So I’ve gotten little done, and don’t quite feel the need to do much more today. Still not caught up to where I want to be with the things I have on my to-do list, but it is, after all, Sunday. And Sundays can be good days to do little. Especially when it’s raining. It’s a good rain this time – steady & not too heavy. For a couple of years we’ve been in a drought, so this is good. More snow pack would have been better to keep the water levels where they should be, but this will definitely help. It’s also bringing in some more spring-like weather this week, after summer-like hot and humid weather last week. Fortunately, it should be mostly rainless next week and the departing rain will almost certainly take my lack of motivation along with it. And, hopefully, work will start on the garage and front steps on Tuesday, and we’re heaving some plumbing work done on Thursday, so bit by bit, the house is getting ready to find its way onto the market. That should also help keep me motivated – tomorrow.

In the meantime – it’s a rainy night & to borrow a line from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:

“For after all, the best thing one can do
When it is raining, is to let it rain.”
